Sunday evening’s screening of the charity film Dad Dancing, starring James Payton and Emma Samms, was a resounding success. Rarely can Stroud Apollo Cinema have been so busy as it was on the 27th November as a buzzing local community and cinema goers from further afield gathered to see the screening of the charity film which has, so far, helped make a whopping £2200 for The Prostate Cancer Charity.
The evening was kicked off with a speech from the writer and director of the film, Domonic White who thanked all those who have supported the project. Robin Ewart from The Prostate Cancer Charity followed up with an overview of the charity and some important facts about how prostate cancer affects the male population.
It is hoped with continued sponsorship of the Dad Dancing Movember team and through sales of the Dad Dancing DVD (more details to follow shortly) the Dad Dancing project can raise even more money for this worth-while cause.
Thank you everyone who has contributed so far! For those wishing to donate see our sponsorship page for more details.
